Band of Brothers

I personally think that the Band of Brothers DVD set is some of the best $75 I've ever spent. Has anyone else seen this? It's a fantastic series.

I thought it was an awesome set. Especially once you have watched all of the episodes and let it all sink in. A lot of people told me that it had better action then saving private ryan, but I didn't think so. The problem I had with band of brothers was that since each episode was only an hour, I found the action was cut short. The first 30 or so minutes of each episode led you up to an action scene, then there was a few mins of action then it kind of just ended without you knowing exactly what happened

i ripped all the DVDs to my computer, after buying them of course. I got a good deal on the whole set from blockbuster, used, only one of the CDs messes up, but i buffered it out.

 

I got it for free at work, muhuhuhuhuha. PS I love it!

Yup, I have it in my DVD collection as well (along with the Godfather Trilogy and about 40 other DVDs).

Best war movie/mini-series EVAR!😛

I know he doesn't, but he had a large hand in creating it.

Just because it has a high rating somewhere doesn't mean I should or will like it. Look at The Godfather. Most people consider it one of the best ever. I wouldn't watch it if I someone gave it to me.

AHHH, I guess you go for the "break from reality" "I don't want to deal with real-life stuff" kind of movies. No wonder you don't like moveis that actually take a brain to watch😉 Band of Brothers is a pure war movie, about as realistic as you can get. It's almost as if you are RIGHT there with them.
