depends on the stage of ripeness of the peel. Green and the banana is 90% potassium, 10% sugar; brown/going on black and it's about 10% potassium, 90% sugar. At least, that's what I've read.

potassium, energy sugars, bad sugars, some other vitamins, stomach ache if eaten too fast..lol

tennis players munch on nanas during a game, not a whole one at once, just the odd nibble.....helps them control their sweat (the potassium) and gives them energy (fast acting sugars)

i munch on the cuz they taste nice...heh
