Damn... that will make it even harder to get at the blody things, it's almost imposible to get some nice oreos in the middle of europe and when you do they cost you mucho dinero, an adict like me is not put off though 😀 -I seriously believe that my friends "green" addiction is cheaper than my creamy filling fetish, now that is scary 🙂 -

i never thought i'd say it, but now we californians have gone too far. you can have my oreos when you pry them from my cold dead fingers.

Jesus christ.

They take away your 2nd amendment rights, and nary a peep.

But god forbid they try to deprive you of sweet, delicious, yummy oreo's.....;-)

Oreo cookies should be banned from sale to children in California, according to a lawsuit filed by a San Francisco attorney who claims that trans fat -- the stuff that makes the chocolate cookies crisp and their filling creamy -- is so dangerous children shouldn't eat it.

Only in California

Only in the US more like it.

FWIW- trans fat is really, really bad for you as fat goes. Banning foods containing it is absurd, but proper labeling is appropriate IMO.

I concur and agree!

What's the difference between trans fats and saturated/non?

They synthetically add a hydrogen atom to the unsaturated fat, which creates a special chain that makes it solidify. Trans fat lowers good cholesterol while raising bad cholesterol, which is a double whammy. Good cholesterol helps emulsify and remove bad cholesterol and keep the arteries and blood vessels flexible and lubricated.
