Ballpark cost for a vacation at Disney World?

Looking at 10 days for 2 at one of the value hotels onsite, with the super duper park hopper tickets. disney's site shows about $1800. any tips for getting a better deal? are there hot deals sites for travel stuff like this?

10 days? Christ, you're going to know that place like the back of your hand when you leave. 😀

it isn't for me, it's for my bro and his gf. is it worth spending that much time there? I've never been but I thought there was a ton of stuff to do.

WIfe and I went in June for 5 days and that was plenty of time. Did all the parks in three days and sat around and relaxed the other two. Stayed at animal kingdom and the total trip was little over $2k with airline tickets from NY.

there's plenty to do there.. I wouldn't go for less than a week and 2 would suit me fine. but I haven't been for a while.. 5 or 6 years, so I don't know what the current prices are. they do sometimes have some pretty good specials during off peak times..

Id say a max of 5... There's a lot to do, but 10 days in disney alone is WAY too much....

If he's going for 10 days, i would break it down like this:

3-4 Days: Disney
1 Day: Islands of Adventure or Busch Gardens
1 Day: Space Coast
1 Day: Sarasota Beaches

10 days is WAY too long. I've been 3 times before, and will be going a 4th for IAAPA. 5 days will do everything there is to do at Disney. Spend the rest of your time at Universal, Sea World, Busch Gardens in Tampa, and doing whatever else.

I'll tell you what blowholes aren't for, son. And when I do, you'll understand why I can never go back to Sea World.
