Plumbing an existing area for NatGas would be almost impossible. The amount of underground work would be cost prohibitive. It could be done though. Our county didn't have common water until about 2003 or 4. Everybody was on a well. Took years to run all the underground pipes, but a safe water supply was more important than NatGas.

Everybody here uses LP where the only plumbing is on the property. Course there is the big pig sitting in the yard holding it.
Actually, plumbing an existing area for NG is a relatively straight forward process with horizontal drilling machines. C spire just ran conduit in my entire neighborhood for fiber.
That said, I don't see any reason to do it.

Amendment 1 - Kentucky General Election | BallotReady

This amendment would change the Kentucky Constitution to prohibit noncitizen voting in any elections in Kentucky.

Amendment 2 - Kentucky General Election | BallotReady

This amendment would enable the General Assembly to provide financial support for the education costs of students in kindergarten through 12th grade who are outside the system of common (public) schools.
So creating a law to fix nonexistent problem and fund private schools with public money. 🤣

^^Yep, it's already illegal to vote if you aren’t a citizen!

There's quite a few christian/magnet schools in Louisville already. The super majority in Frankfort already has a program ginned up to fund private schools if #2 passes.

Our ballots carry quite a few unopposed races. State & local. That can’t ever be considered good.

Even suckier… Towns & Counties added specific referendums on allowing cannabis-related businesses to set up shop. A blatant counter to last year’s Medical Cannabis law that was passed!

The problem is this is for federal elections and state elections and it would remove all party labels from all ballots. With the level of ignorance in America, I want it to be kept simple with labels. Democratic = yes, maga/republican = no

Well, ideally people would be looking at each candidate's positions individually. I can usually figure out if they're a crazy rightie in under ten seconds. And at least we have the luxury of sitting in our living room and taking our time looking at each candidate.

Arizonans, by a wide margin, voted to put abortion rights into the state constitution. Expect the legislature to fight it tooth and nail.

All the other constitutional changes went down in flames.

The propositions continuing stupid border games, attacking defendants, and attacking the homeless passed by large margins. The homeless one is going to bleed the cities dry.

Prop 8 repeal passing by a healthy margin in CA.

Retention of limitations on rent control also comfortably ahead.

Slavery exception and min wage trailing but too early to tell with so much left out there.

Yes, the background is that a notorious rich NIMBY runs the AHF and uses the org's resources to oppose housing development. The reason he got the prop on the ballot is what you suspect: to enable rich communities to make it impossible to add new housing under the cover of insane rent control ordinances and circumvent the newer more permissive state housing laws.

Oops, I voted for it. The prop made it seem like it lifted restrictions and allowed cities to decide for themselves but now without the restrictions.
