Usually floats between $94 and $104 on the site

I did a search here since the rebate coupon starts on the 17th, but I came up zero.
Expires on 31st and must be mailed by 3/1

Man, I have so much ram, I could open a store.
But I saw a blurb about a week ago that ram is expected to rise 40% in next quarter (didnt save link) Something about three ram manuf getting together to reduce oversupply.as I recall.

And Intel is supposedly giving financial support to dram big boys to make price differential between DDR3 and DDR2 only 10%

10¢ says I have more unused RAM than you. 😉

Too many hot deals. 😱

Maybe I'll take a pic of all the "spare" RAM I have and post it here.

EDIT: Here ya go! Counting individual modules (not by kits), twenty-one 1GB modules and four 2GB modules. I didn't bother with the eight or so 512MB modules, nor the stuff sitting unused on bare motherboards or half-built systems. Nor the 3.5GB combined in two notebooks, nor the HTPC with 2GB, nor the three other systems in my house with 4GB each...

BTW, all the RAM in the pic is DDR2-800, except for the stuff w/o heatspreaders which are DDR2-667. Also, the blue G.Skill are two 1GB DDR-400 CAS 2 sticks. That shit is more valuable than my 4GB DDR2 kits!!!

Zap, if that OCZ SLI kit is a 4 GB kit & you're looking to get rid of it, I'd be interested...I need 1 more...

nice stuff! 🙂

Bozo, nice deal - thanks, I might pick them up to replace my super slow OCZ Dual Gold 2GB
These can do 500 FSB, right?

Zap, with your experience - which 2x1GB should one get for overclocking? (money IS an object, of course)
Oh, and I'd be happy to help you off-load some of them, just let me know!

There are some valuable resources for those who want a high mem overclock but dont make it a major part of their daily life

http://www.i4memory.com is eva2000's (George in Australia) personal site. He is a well known memory fanatic and has many templates for bios settings for the big three manuf different mobo. Gives each and every setting that works for highest overclock

Then there's memset - a little program that can show you in Windows exactly what you are ACTUALLY running in the memory settings, and change them on the fly to see if tightening will hold.
http://www.tweakers.fr/

And for workable settings for DFI boards theres their very helpful forum

Lastly, if you read the exceptional Rampage review by Kris Boughton on AT home page, it would appear super high RAM speeds are self defeating

Zipzoomfly has it at a couple of bucks cheaper, which is especially good for us folks who get hit with sales tax from the egg.

My personal preference (hot deals aside) is to get some standard JEDEC DDR2-800 stuff, because ALL of the faster RAM is basically just binned.

LMAO, this has become Zap's FS thread. But man, is that a lot of ram!

Wasn't my intention, haha.

Wow, and I thought I had a RAM collection.

I have 11 HP DDR2-667 1GB sticks, 4 SuperTalent DDR2-667 1GB sticks, 5 PNY DDR400 1GB sticks, and installed, I have two pair of 2GB Patriot DDR2-800, two PNY DDR400 1GB sticks, and two Kingston HyperX DDR400 1GB sticks.

yeah I bought about ... 12 sticks of RAM in the past 3 months or so: 4 sticks of corsair XMS DDR800, 2 sticks of XMS DHT corsairs with mad heat spreader, 4 sticks of that HP stuff, 2 sticks of Ballistix DDR800 and is still thinking to acquire more Ballistix or something high end ... man I think I need a therapist to break this RAM addiction.

1GB sticks will overclock higher with lower latencies. However, with 4x1 you will have no room left for extra RAM. If one is planning to get 8GB later on (4x2) then 4x1 wouldn't be a good idea.
