genetics. my great grandpa was bald....his son was bald....and his son was bald....so....oh wait.....ah crap.....

Male pattern baldness is inherited from the mother's side.

They say that, but my dad is bald like his father was, and my brother is balding like my father did... and my mother's father had a head full of nappy hair!!!!

I'm 27 and I compare my hair to cheap carpet. Just like cheap carpet, just move it apart and you can bottom.

I keep telling my wife that it's because of her, but she doesn't think it's funny.

Yeah, but like GambiT said, WHY would mother nature incorporate this attribute into male humans?

While this question does affect me, I'd place it below other questions like, "WHY would mother nature cause cancer/lupus/multiple sclerosis/leukemia/down syndrome/cystic fibrosis etc."

o that leaves you what . . . bald? Do you have a strand of hair?

Oh, whatever happened to those remedies like the advertised hair growth hormone? I'm scared any sons I have would be bald too in all likelihood since it's hereditary. Hahahaha! I actually think baldness is cute. What I don't like is partial baldness.

But only if they are over 6 feet tall ;)

My Mothers Father had a full head of hair when he died at 75. My Dad on the other hand was bald. Don't ya know it, I am half bald racing to full bald.
