Baking Potatos

Ok, so you bake one potato...thorow it in for an hour and its done.

But what if you bake 20 potatoes at once?

Is it still an hour?

I know a microwave you have to double the time but an oven works differently...they don't suck up the heat because the oven keeps the temperature constant, right?

Or am i missing something?

Get some metal skewers to stick in them. It will help them cook more evenly which I imagine will be a concern with that many potatoes duking it out in your oven.

I never thought about that! good idea..i guess it evens the heat out?

Have you ever done this? Any problem with it?
 
make sure you put some space between them also, they wont cook evenly if they are touching. they dont play well together. btw, the bbq will cook them way faster.
 
I have no experience at all, but I would rotate them during cooking. maybe the outside ones into the middle and middle ones outside.

The BBQ will be quite busy as well with the chicken...and the brisket in the smoker will be going and the corn...oh man, its going to be a good bbq!! 🙂

Yeppers, all potatoes will be done at the same time. If they are not going to al be eaten at the saqme time wrap them in foil. They stay moist much longer, and will take overcooking much better.
