Baking hamburgers = wtf

I'm at my roommate's house and apparently their favored method of making hamburgers involves baking, No flipping, no draining the fat/blood, just put them on a cookie sheet, bake, and eat.

I've never heard of this. They weren't all that bad, though. Is it common?

You sure they aren't broiling?

Broiling would be the same as grilling a burger upside down. With the heat coming from the top instead of the bottom.

You can bake 'em, broil 'em, fry 'em, microwave 'em, boil 'em, or stick 'em in a stew. It's all good.

Weird. Never heard of that. It's either grill or fry. Maybe it's a north Texas thing? :)

Won't get burnt as easily as BBQing or frying. And I guess it's easier to "preserve the juice".

never heard of it. all the burgers i've ever made were fried on a grill or a pan. but meat is meat so it should be ok.
and as for u Ricemarine, yeah u should be banned.

true except you usually flip the burger a few times, but w/e.
and no i dont think its too common.
