For two breads:

1 spoon of salt
125 grams of margarine
2,5 decilitres of milk
2,5 decilitres of water
1 kilogram of flour
some yeast

Paint the bread with a blended egg

Put it in the oven at 180°C for 50-60 minutes

Congratulations, you just made your own bread!

Using a breadmaker doesn't make you a baker of bread. That's cheating. If someone asks you to make a baguette, you can't. 😛

Sounds like watching grass grow... not thanks. I eat orowheat select with lots of sunflower seeds and nuts and stuff in it.

In my early twenties I worked as a mixer for an Artisan Bakery. I arrived at 2:30Am to mix the dough. The kneaders came in at 5 and the baker at 6.

I ended up doing all three of those jobs eventually. Include baking. It's a lot of fun, not that hard, and nothing beats the taste.

I can 🙂 completely from scratch...

But it's easier to let the Breadmaker mix and raise the dough for you. Often I'll take it out and hand shape\cut it... Simply spritz the oven with water when you put it in and about halfway through baking for a crispy golden crust.

Oil and milk with flour is cake, not bread. 😉

Are you a flour & water purist? Or did I miss secret ingrediences? Tell me, pleeeease? 😀

I've done it a few times, but IMO, it's easier and better tasting to just pick up a loaf of bread or bag of rolls at a bakery.
