Bailey's Irish Cream

Rudee

Lifer
This is the fist time I've purchased a bottle of Bailey's Irish Cream. Bailey's on ice is such and enjoyable drink I can't believe I've been missing out all these years. Cheers!

I just bought my first bottle last weekend, and let me just say it is also incredibly awesome in fresh brewed coffee.

Now I need to pick up some Kahlua and Vodka and make some frozen mudslides....

its not bad. i havnt had it since i stopped dating a chick who loved it. its pretty good over ice but, as mentioned, it is a bit sweet to drink more than a few.
i feel like going on a bender with something that creamy would be vomit-inducing.

Dammit...need Vodka. 🙁

I love white russians, and don't you mean instead of half and half? 😉

Edit: And anyway, I was HALF right!

Somewhere around here I have a recipe to make it yourself. It's dirt cheap if you do it that way.

but not quite so good.

I came back from a cruise last year with a bottle of coffee rum cream.. which is the most wonderful stuff.. and I still have some because it was so yummy I googled up a recipe and made my own so I could hoard the good stuff. the homemade stuff wasn't as good as the good stuff but it was better than (yet similar to) the homemade irish cream stuff I'd made in the past.

I got this dooley's stuff the other week though.. toffee liquour, was required ingredient in this coffee toffee martini I was determined to make (was tasty, too) and boy.. that stuff is pretty tasty too! I didn't get around to figuring out if I can make a fake version of that, yet..

*puke*

<--hates beer, but still can't imagine beer mixed with something creamy...

:frown:

it's actually quite godly

the bailey's/whiskey complements the guiness in a way to not make it taste liek crap, and in fact, turn it into chocolate milk, albeit slightly alcoholic chocolate milk

The only problem is you have to chug it instead of savoring each sip, like chocolate milk.
