Ok, I have a sale thread at FS/FT and this guy wants to get my Thermaltake PSU ($40 shipped).... here is our conversation:

So I check the dude's AT handle, and he has 0 posts.. and he says he deals with atot and hardforum... well I am scared to sh!t as soon as I hear hardforum but either way, I'll get my money when this dude paypals me non-cc paypal money but I don't want thim to leave any negative feedback to me. Should I sell it or no?

Toan Nguyen, aka Sephiroth85, was given a one week time out for massive bumping of his own threads in FS/T. That was extended to one month when he registered a second account to continue posting. We also deleted all of his posts and reset his post count to zero.

He has three positive heat evals, all from AT. Deal with him if you feel comfortable, but take normal precautions with new traders. You may want to PM the members who left those evals to confirm them.
 
now he is asking me why we should go through AT, he says he will paypal first... arghh... i am paranoid!

You could always request that he pay by Money Order. Of course, you may also want to see if the mods know anything about him.

 
go over to the [ H ] and check him out, talk to some of the big traders on [ H ] and see if they heard of him
 
you have all the rights to refuse this guy and say no. Iam sure there will be other buyers out there.

If he is paying you before you ship the PSU out, who cares? I mean he may be full of sh*t but if he is paying why does it matter?

BTW: This is coming from some who has never had problems with a sell, so I may just be naive.

A troll could easily use a stolen Paypal account. It happens all the time in FS/FT. Would you trust someone who you can't find any record of on two forums which he says he's a regular?
 
what do you have to be paranoid/worried about? You're in charge, make him pay first for tell him to get bent. I don't see what the issue is

What they said. I remember when he got banned and he had a lot of posts, but they were all just bumps.
