I may have slept on my shoulder wrong and woke up with a minor ache on my left shoulder yesterday and aggravated it at the gym. I think I strained my AC joint again. I've injured this side of my shoulder a few times[never the right side - underlying issue?]. It's never serious though[always goes away in about a week]... and neither is this time but I can't raise my arms overhead or reach towards my back or my right side without hurting which suck since it means I can't do several of my lifts. Putting clothes on is a pain
Anyone had this injury know the dos and don'ts? Maybe I should just take a week off? I think this is a common injury.
Out of the question:
Overhead presses
Pull ups (substitute rows?)
Questionable:
Bench presses - minor twinge with the motion
Deadlifts - a bit of pressure but no pain
Doable:
Squats - May have to do assisted/machines since I shouldn't raise my arms up to hold barbell
