Bah, I should have looked here first before buying laptop

Spec wise, that's a very nice notebook and you're going to be very happy with it. I've never owned an MSI notebook, but they seem to sell a lot of them and the reviews look good.

Performance wise, the ATI 4850 is like a good card, but it's slower than the 280M GTX or 260M GTX available in the Sager notebook. It should still perform decent in games though. Check the above review for the benchmarks in games.

Congrats on the new laptop!

Too pricey for me probably, but that's one nice laptop.

And if you can't play h264 @ 1080p with that laptop, then you got ripped off >_>

Cant you take it back to egg or exchange for another notebook? it depends on egg policy on return within 14 days or 30 days.

should have looked here first, I guess I'm mad that I could've configured
my own Sager.

Oh well, I just hope I'll be able to play 1080p H264 with no problems with this.

Is MSI a good laptop brand?
How bout the ati4850? any good?

Not sure why you are upset. That is a damn fine laptop. Sager's look ugly, and are bulky. Sure, you can customize them, but I doubt you are going to find something better than this MSI for less money. MSI has an incredably efficient design. The laptop is very good at heat dissipation while maintaining a smaller footprint that its competitors.

I have seen the GT627 (15.4" version) in person and the laptop is stunning. The 4850 is better than the 9800M GS or GTS and is about on par with the 9800M GT.
