No Lifer
as title says i got a flat and can't get the darn tire off. fricken ticks me off. we think its frozen on =(

well i still don't know how to change tires, so you're better off than me :cookie:

also atot isn't going to unscrew the bolts for you...get back to it

Undo all the bolts and kick the wheel at 6 o'clock and 12 o'clock, then at 3 and 9 o'clock until it comes off

Happens often, happened to me a week ago. Fortunately I have AAA to they came and did it. Basically just get a rubber mallet and beat the crap out of it from behind the tire.

yeah did that. think i broke a toe \=

been working at it for 2 hours. got tired of it and tried to call a tow truck. NOBODY can get out here.

My in-law's Avalon with alloy wheels did that to me. Honest to God, I've never had such a pain in the ass! I was able to get a monster screwdriver in between the wheel and hub (thank God I could access it through an opening in the wheel), and bust it loose with a dead blow hammer.

Pour hot water in there. Prying will probably damage the hardware.

tried that. trouble is i have pretty bad arthritis in my hands. so i can't be outside to long or work to long on it.

not sure if its frozen or rusted on. darn cars.

ok got under the damn car with a 2x4 and a mallet. had the wood behind the wheel and hit it hard as i could for about 10 min. DAMN thing did not move! sigh. guess im going ot have to have it towed. sigh

n/m

edit: assuming you got the nuts off, i was going to suggest lightly tapping the outside of the rim with a sledge. but i guess you called for a tow truck already n/m

A couple of good wacks with that sledge should get the wheel off. You could try spraying each lugs with a good amount of WD-40 for any rust.
