The shiney ic definetly takes away the sleeper look, unlike my intercooler 😀

Priit look at the graph again, the left column maxes out at 800hp and the right column maxes out at 600 ft/lbs. Thats why it doesnt look "real" to you.
The torque at 5252rpm is around 530 and the hp at 5252rpm is at around 530 also, the graph is real.

Its pretty tastefully done... but he could do without the windsheild banner.

And it is a 2JZ-GE in the American version just like they used in the Supra N/A. Turbo'ing it requires a little more than just slapping a kit on there if you want the motor to live for any amount of time. This guy has replaced his pistons and rods with reinforced stuff, reworked the fuel system, and reworked the suspension. He even put in a Supra 6spd. Its a nice car. 🙂

Its too bad he put so much power in it... now its just like all the other Supras - a dyno queen. Still a nice car, but not good for much besides highway pulls and dyno days.

The car isn't a hardcore sleeper by any means, but it's damn nice. Between the gigantic brakes and huge FMIC, and huge tires, it gets given away. It's a cleanly modded car, nicely done 🙂
 
So you take some pics of a modded car and find a dyno sheet from somewhere else and call this a sleeper. Come back when you can confirm the dyno sheet and the pics go together, because I don't believe you.

And BTW, a IS300 is not a sleeper.
 
Agreed. This is not a sleeper. A sleeper is that dual engine, turbo'd, methanol (I belive) powered tibby running around texas. That thing defines sleeper.

Stock internals on the IS300 can handle upto 500hp without problems..
there is a member pushing 500+ hp with 549 torque on stock internals for 2 years and he's been draggin and what not.
he has a different turbo setup tho.

 
Hey man, very nice car.... Everything is tastefully done except for the slight rice-age. However, the car is not a sleeper by any means.

People are NOT going to look at that car and think "hmmm, it must be slow". Even "to the untrained eye". A sleeper has to be completely stock on the outside. That means no aesthetic modifications, no skirt kits, nothing visibly different on the outside of the car. If that's the case, and the engine is significantly modified/boosted, then it is a "sleeper".

Still a very nice car though, I'd definitely drive it. 🙂

Seeing how many rices do get stickers and rims and exhaust ( all show no go ).. why wouldn't anyone think iit's slow.

it weighs 3300lbs and has 215 horses.
I own one and compared to the G35, 330, and CL-S it is lacking in the power delivery.
That does look stock ( JDM ) since basically he did the conversion bumt doesn't look much different from the USDM.
You can't see the intercooler from the side when you're about to race unless he gets ahead then looks in the rearview mirror and i doubt he can really see the brembos.

I dont think rims would throw it off..that much. the intercooler might but he'd have to see it.
