An English longbowman would laugh at the 12 arrows Lars fired at him in quick succession with no power and then put a bodkin through his skull...

Medium to short distance, Lars would fire two arrows directly into both eyes of a longbowman before the longbowman fired one shot.

He's developed some impressive skills, but I doubt that many of the jumping, fast-shooting, moving target types of techniques were actually very useful in what he calls "war archery." I'm sure there were unusual situations that developed, and people would always want to show off their skills, but for the most part an archer in combat was part of a group firing volleys from long range.

What about American Indians or archers on any horses?

I honestly don't know how common that was. If you've ever ridden a horse you know how hard that would be. Easier at a full gallop, weirdly, because the stride smooths out.

In any case, the Mongols and some others made very good use of horse-mounted archers, but I don't know how important it was in a battle to be able to actually shoot while moving. I'm sure it was still important in showing off.

The scene where he is at the table it hilarious, like he just caught someone cheating at poker and then shoots them.

1. How does a YouTube video have more likes than views? 9k to 1.5k?
2. Says back quiver is a Hollywood myth and not common in the last. Horse shit. Wiki knows all and says it wasn't common in medieval Europe but was used by native Americans and Japanese. Most medieval used a belt quiver which this guy doesn't use.
3. Says archery targets were unknown in the past yet I find a picture drawn in 1791 of people around one when I google history archery targets.
4. Guys voice is annoying as hell
5. Guy does look like a good archer with a really fast firing rate
6. Practicing to fire both right and left is ignorant and silly. English long bowmen were known to have body imbalances from always firing on the same side, so they didn't bother with that any more than a quarterback does
7. I am sure many of his shots on this vid were tried dozens of times
8. I bet his draw weight is pathetic I would be surprised if it is even 30 lbs
9. Voice of guy in video made me just self mutilate. I cut my left ear off in protest
10. Very entertaining video thanks!
11. Piercing chain mail armor with an arrow is not difficult as it is full of holes. Let me see his little bow pierces plate, but that was a silly demonstration at the end
12. The idea about using "both hands" to give the arrow more power is hilarious horse shit, what a joke.
13. It claims some historical archers were supposed to fire 3 arrows in 1.5 seconds which is again utter horse shit. That is even stupider than the raven killing archers in game of thrones

Are there non-stupid parts of Game of Thrones?

The mongols used it to ride into and out of range, and release a volley when they could. It was very demoralizing that they could get a volley in with total impunity.
