Ugh - we paid $5,000 for a consultant to fly in and train me on Administering some new software and this is the first time all freaking year that I have gotten sick.

Ask them if they are ok if you record the training session. You will probably miss quite a bit if you're not 100%. This way you can review it later down the road if necessary.

Bad headache and my stomach is all messed up. I pretty much drank an entire bottle of pepto and I feel better so hopefully everything will work out.

I wouldn't let you do it. You'd run the risk of making copies for other people or possibly selling what is essentially my time and knowledge and I would need to be compensated highly if you want to record it.
