how did the people get to use their cell phones on the plane? I assume its the creditcard seatback phones right, assumeing that your sprint/att/verizon phones wont work at that altitude?


when i heard on the news that some people called from cells, i was kinda confused.

you still can use cell, FAA prohibits since it can interfere with their communications and electronics

yep, trust me, my dad once used it to make emergency hotel booking since airplane was late 3 hrs

You have to remember these airplanes were flying lower to the ground than typical airplanes... Also, I believe one phone call was by the seatback phone...
