Bad REligion is cool. I discovered them playing Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1, and their song "You" was the best song on that soundtrack. Another favorite of mine is 'Anasthesia"

Yep, Bad Religion is a great band. Caught them in concert last month for the 3rd time. 🙂 Definitely go see them if you get the chance.

BR rocks. I haven't liked much of their new stuff since Grey Race, but the early stuff, 80-85, Suffer, Against the Grain,Generator, No Control, Recipe for Hate, Stranger than Fiction all rocked. Their CD All Ages is their "best of" some of these earlier CD's. Damn good. Little known fact about Greg Graffin, the lead singer, has a Ph.D. in evolutionary biology and is said to be one of the five leading bone tissue paleontologists in the world.

My fav band. 😀 If you like Sorrow you'll love the rest of their stuff (as Sorrow is really weak). I've seen them probably 10 since the early 90's. I've met them 3 times, all great guys, very down to earth. Best album imho is No Control ('89). Rock on. 😀

btw Graffin never actually got his PhD... he got his Masters 15 years ago (UCLA), and still says he's going to finish up what's needed to get his PhD (form Cornell), but he's been saying that for like the past 10 years. Oh well, maybe one day when he has more time (IE when BR is no more).

Oh yeah BR's been around for 22 years, not 30. 😉 Well... actually they broke up from 85-88, so actually 17 years.

Thanks! I'm on the west coast, so I can still see them. They've been on Conan before and are usually pretty good (though I'm not a big fan of "Sorrow", if that's what they are playing). And to those who say that they haven't listened to BR in awhile- I can't defend New America or No Substance, but their new one is pretty good and worth a listen. One key is that Mr. Brett is back in the band. Interestingly, they kept Brian Baker, too- so now there are three guitarists (and a bass). They also have a new drummer- the other one tore a rotator cuff or something. I was a little worried about how that all would affect them live, but it worked ouy really well (I saw them at their first stop of this tour a few months ago at The Bottom of the Hill in S.F.- only 100 people can fit in there, and it totally rocked. And the new drummer was totally nervous- he played "I want to Conquer the World" so fast, Greg Graffin couldn't keep up, but did eberything else great). To anyone who is not familiar, anything The Dancing Peacock recomended is definately worth checking out.

Apparently Bad Religion doesn't either. When I saw them in concert a few weeks ago they didn't play a single song off of No Substance or New America. The new album however has them back in the right direction and is one of my favorites.
