Bad RAM?

I just built a new computer with the following specs:

AMD Athlon 64 3000+ (SKT 939)

Chaintech VNF4 Ultra nForce 4 Ultra MotherBoard

LeadTek WinFast 6600GT PCI Express

512MBx2 KingMax DDRam PC-3200

Antec Case SLK3700AMB w/ 350 watt Power Supply

When I ran mem test and prime95 both turned up errors. My question is could it only be the RAM that is the problem or could some other component be the source? I'm going to run MEM Test again with each stick alone, thanks for any help, I'll post my results here.

You don't have to run that RAM in pairs. Try those tests one stick at a time and see if you can duplicate the error with one or thie other stick. If you do, it's probably NOT the RAM because what would the odds be that BOTH sticks are bad and produce the same results? 😉

Thanks Jonny, I ran each stick alone and errors only did indeed show up on one stick. Looks like I'll be sending it back to NewEgg.

Edit: Oh, and BTW, that's I meant in my first post when I said ''m going to run MEM Test again with each stick alone." Sorry that I wasn't clearer.
