Bad RAM Maybe?

I am trying to figure out why my Mother in Law's computer freezes and will only reboot off a "hard" shut down afterwards. Also, when i went to her home to figure it out, it BSOD's on me booting over and over, and wouldnt even go into safe mode. Suspecting RAM, i have it at my house and tried a stick of my corsair XMS, never had an issue, but still not totally sure about it. Currently its running MEMtest with her RAM in. Here is the error codes i remember from the event viewer.

100000d1
0000009c

error code 1003
category 102

thats about all i can remember. She says generally it locks up doing basically nothing (all she does is AOL and Word. And then after it locks, it tends to lock up the second it gets the the welcome screen.

XP w sp2
Has updated virus protection, spyware protection, etc.

ANyhow, any other ideas are appreciatted. I would hate to just say, well, bad RAM. and then it turns out being something else.

memtest had no errors, and now with her RAM in it has been working fine. This is like the car noise that wont happen when the mechanic is looking at it..lol.

Any ideas from here? SPyware, Virus, and driver wise, the PC is in good shape. Im basically at a loss here.

It had the MRTrate errors in the event viewer, and did have quicken, so i uninstalled that. I dont think that is the problem, as this computers issue is random HARD freezing. But took quicken off to maybe rid the PC of a different issue. Still stumped.

if the ram isnt bad usually it is a bad connection between the mobo and ram, casued by dust, this has been the problem in many of my older pcs, and unless ur full of hot air and air compressor to the ram slots should do it, also take a CLEAN pencil erasure to the ram's gold fingers to clean them...

thats my suggestion, GL
