Bad PSU?

I have a BFG EX-1000 that worked perfectly for three days. Went on vacation for ten days, in which I had shut down the computer and unplugged it. I came back, plugged it in and no go. I swapped it out for on antec thats in my wifes computer now to see if it was the motherboard but everything booted fine. It just doesn't seem to get power on either the 4 or 8 pin atx connector. Everything else gets power except for the cpu. Is there a way to reset this or is it gone?

Do you have a multimeter and measured the voltage?

There are other explanations why the PSU doesn't work with your rig anymore.
Have you checked your PSU in your wife's computer?

Yeah I checked the PSU in my wifes computer with the same results. I don't have access to a multimeter at the current time, maybe in a week or two.

So if you don't have a multimeter, how do you know there's power to everything but the CPU power connector (4-pin/8-pin)?

Well, I'm guessing really. The phase lights on the board are stuck at the same spot whether its pluged in or not. If there is another reason, I'm all ears. I don't really want to go through a RMA if I don't have to. I'm going to tinker with it some more today and let you know.

If you have a computer shop in the area, bring the psu down there and have them check it for you. Saves a bit of hassle and then you will know for sure, shouldn't cost but a few bucks at most.
