Bad Overclock???

System specs:
Abit AT7
AMD Athlon XP 1700+
ThermalTake Volcano 7
KingMax 256mb PC2700

I can hit a max of 145FSB, anything higher and the system will crap out. Upped voltages and still doesn't help. lowered memory timings... same thing...
anyone have any suggestions? this board is supposed to overclock really well... 🙁

hmm, to my knowledge I believe you need to do something with the bridges on the XP's first. Let me look around, brb.

It's going to depend upon the temps you are getting and the other components that are installed. Sometimes the entire system can be "held back" by a component that doesn't want to run at faster FSB settings.

That is not a bad overclock for that xp processor and the cooling you have. I agree that it may be maxed out with the current cooling set up.
