Should I try to get a second fan for the cooler first to eliminate the possibility of uneven cooling due to one of the towers being fanless?
To test this hypothesis, move the fan to the other "branch"/tower to see if there is any difference (but I doubt that there will be any significant differences in core temperatures).

Wow, I was not even familiar with a 15S.

I was thinking you had one of these on there.

I guess if it is a twin tower just sticking another 140 would be the same.

I'd still not think that would be the problem if one core jumping out of range.

I'll just bow out as I'm not familiar with that CPU.

Of course that would go on sale after I bought the cooler lol. And the one I bought is on sale too!

Yeah, I agree. That fan is a pain to deal with though. I'll try it later I guess.

My CPU is hanging in the 50s just from watching a Twitch stream. Something is seriously wrong here... I might just return this cooler and keep the CPU at stock if it's really this useless! Even though my CPU fan is running at only 75%, it still seems completely wrong...

EDIT: Nevermind, Chrome was being silly.

So, the difference in core temps seems to be worst around 70-80C

So, after improving airflow in my case and introducing positive pressure, my max temp in the realbench stress test went from 84 to 76... There was probably a difference in ambient temperature but that seems excessive...

Is the PC still as quiet as it was, or are you getting better temps at the expense of quiet cooling?

It's slightly louder since I added one fan (removing the top HDD cage likely had a bigger effect), but only under load with the fan controller on 12V. Honestly it was never as quiet as I would like, and I'd need to either remove fans and underclock everything or replace all of the fans to get the noise level I'd like to have. Even at worst it really isn't all that loud, but five 2000RPM fans aren't going to be silent anyway.

That said, I do need the positive pressure due to dust. I can take more noise if it means less dust.

Temps didn't change much in Prime95... I think that the high temp I saw before in RealBench was a fluke.
