Bad news for Celine Dion fans - Good news for everyone else...

When are the companies going to realize that this doesn't work?

Sounds like their spokeslady really knows what she's talking about:

ROFLMAO. When will these idiots learn? 🙂

If a crack isn't already out for this, I would say no more than a month before this new "technology" is defeated....next

There are already so many ways around this that it is laughable. Hahahahaaha. I laughed. I wouldn't buy it anyway, but if I did I would see how many backups I could make in 3 or 4 hours just for the fun of it. Of course I would never distribute them to my friends and family.

Ironically, an old cd-rom that doesn't support multi-session reading will play this like butter. Its not often that going back technologically, can take you farther, that is, metaphysics and spirituality aside. 🙂

You can corrupt a Mac CD-ROM's firmware by forcing an eject (according to the article)??

My computer refuses to play anything with Streisand. But I think its because its Streisand and nothing to do with copy protection.

Who cares what they did to secure copyright as long as people can d/l from Internet 🙂

MP3 RULES !!

MIRC Rockss !!

😛

Another reason to go Open Source..

Apparently a friend of mine bought that cd and it runs fine on Linux!!! (well that is what he claims.. I am yet to borrow that cd and try it on my drive).
He is going to rip me a copy to see if its rippable.

I guess someone already ripped it, since I have most of the songs from that CD in my MP3 folder. 😉

I just saw a video of her wearing a white tuxedo backwards at last years Oscar's. What a weirdo.

What sounds better... "I'm going over to visit the Fungus's", or, "I'm going over to visit the fungi"? 😉 It just popped in my head.

come to think of it, can't you just post isos of said albums instead of mp3s? Then you'd basic have a perfect copy which you could play on a normal cd player😛 well perfectly f*cked up perfect copy according to the record companies of course🙂

i want my HD AUDIO damnit!! DVD Audio or whatever grr, stupid idiots should have made all dvd players dvd-a compatible from the get go. Imagine how huge their installed user base would be now if they hadn't gotten all paranoid about copy protection. give me a reason to buy.. not take away.. grr.

Doh! 🙁

Hoped you were going to tell us she had died, or at least had stopped singing! This is such a letdown! 🙁

Heh i hope they never give up. This crap is costing companies millions. You wouldn't believe how much money they shell out on protection that is always crasked days, if not hours, after being released. Let them keep spending cash and keep laughing at them 😀

I dont remember the exact numbers, but they were in some article few weeks ago

Record companies have spent $2.000.000.000 in trying to create copy protections for their music while they have only gained $1.000.000 in doing so.

Smart management
