Peace,
got another question for ya

When I boot up my machine I get a long beep followed by another long beep.. it keeps doing that until I turn it back off. Chaintech support says it's having problems with my Mushkin PC2100 memory. Is this true? What do you think?

That may very well be the problem. Try reseating the memory first. Also, try one stick at a time; it is highly unlikely that multiple sticks of memory are bad if you are using more than one.

You may also want to reseat the video card. This could also be the problem.

As well, try running the system with only the bare essentials attached to the motherboard: CPU, video, and memory.

(this is on a new machine that I'm buiding)

On my Chaintech ZNF3-150 there's a 12v power connector.. When I unplug it there is no beep, but I'm afraid that the mobo isn't getting enough power becuase nothing happens - just a blank screen with no beep. The RAM I've tested is working RAM at PC2100.

What do you think is the problem?

Try my other suggestions in the previous post...

is your CPU running at 333 FSB or more?
it might be overclocking the RAM too much for the system to be able to boot. PC2100 only runs at 266 MHz.
that's a decent overclock of the memory, so that could be the case.

I have Pheonix BIOS, but i'm not sure which version.. How do I find out so that I can check what the beep code means? (I have the Chaintech ZNF3-150 mobo)

Also, for instance, a code might be 3-2-1-2.. does that mean the beep lasts for 3 seconds, then 2 seconds and so on?
