For those who haven't seen it, Harvey Keitel plays - a BAD police lieutenant.

BAD is an understatement

He drinks
He does coke
He is a degenerate gambler
He pulls over young girls and jerks off while degrading them


He makes Vic Mackey look like a boy scout.

I remember watching this several months ago when it was on IFC. I was incredibly disappointed. A lot of people listed it as a super-disturbing film. I didn't really find anything he did overly shocking. I thought it was the unrated version on IFC but maybe not?

People said similar things about the HK film Violent Cop. While maybe that was a bit more violent, I was kind of disappointed with the corruption level of that one too.

Maybe I've just been too desensitized to violence or something.
 
2 versions.

The unrated version is not one you would forget. Very graphic, violent rape scene. The R version is tense, but the unrated one is very intense. If you liike the R make the effort to see the Unreatedversion.
