I have had a Dell 1901 LCD panel for about 10 months now. A few months ago, there was a line running through the middle and then disappeared. It came back a couple of times then disappeared again. Tonight the entire display flickers and the images jumo up and down and the entire screen goes haywire. I turn off the computer and turn it back on. The display is fine for about 10 minutes then the same problem persists. I switched to an old video card, ATI 7500, and still experience the same problem.

Right now, I am using an old CRT and have no problem with the display other than it looking awful comparing to the LCD when working. Please shine in your opinion before I make arrangement to ship the LCD back to Dell for repair.

ship back, my guess is that it's overheating. but that's only a guess... nothing you can fix anyways.

I never had to return it before. Do you know if Dell will repair it or ship a replacement? How long does it take?

It doesn't matter how long it takes -
The choice is either RMA it now, or live with the problem till you buy another monitor

Dell should ship you a replacement. I had to RMA my 1905FP due to the fact they claimed that it was a 15ms panel when really it's more like 20ms. They had a 2001FP at my door within a week so I think you'll be ok. AFAIK they won't try to repair yours. They'll repair it later if possible and sell it off as a refurb or something.
