Okay, here's the deal: I'm sending my case back to the company I bought it from because it is damaged. The case came with a stock 92mm fan. Would it be bad karma to take the fan before I send it back? My reasoning behind is: the manufacturer, when they recieve the case, will probably just throw the fan away since it is "used." Should I take it or leave it in?

You're joking, right? Screw karma! It would be theft and fraud on your part. :| Taking the fan is theft. Attempting to sneak it by them is fraud.

You bought a case that arrived damaged. You have a right to return it... ALL of it. The company has a right to receive everything they sent you. They could file a claim for damage with the carrier or the manufacturer. Taking the fan would screw them.
