Good Afternoon,

I just tried to upgrade the BIOS on an old TUSL2-C from 1009 ---> 1012, it flashed fine but when i rebooted i just got a black srceen. I cleared CMOS, removed the battery, still, black screen. I can get into the BIOS but upon reboot a black screen is as far as i can get. Can i try something else???

Thanks

After flashing, it is a good idea to go in to the bios and load the defaults. This is becasue the new bios may have a new parameter that the old one did not have. By loading the default settings, you initialize the new parameter to a correct setting.
Then, you need to set all the parameters in the bios to what they need to be. One important one is the boot priority. Make sure that the hard drive with your OS on it is in the boot priority list.

That is pretty much what i did. I thought that a bad bios flash meant you could not even get into your bios. I can.....

try re-flashing the bios back to the orignal...

use a floppy with the autoexc.bat to automaticly flash the bios,..
that if you have access to the floppy drive.

if all else fails I can re-flash your chip for $8, I don't have any new chips for your board.

Thanks, but i am sending it back. it just so happens that my warranty runs out at the end of this month. So i figure instead of me trying to figure out what else might be wrong, i will just send it back. they could send me a newer board????????
