My parents went on vacation and left me the house for the week. I sleep in the basement because it is darker and it is cooler down there. By doing so, every sound that is made upstairs is magnified. I was asleep when I heard a loud noise as if something fell... Moments later I heard the TV blaring. I havent figured this one out yet because the only remote that could have been pressed by the dog controls the cable box and VCR as well so nothing would have turned on. The dog starts barking.

I go upstairs and check it out, only to find nothing. Still in a daze, I let my dog out and wait for her to come back inside. I feed the dog and cat (who was downstairs with me) and try to go back asleep since its only 9. I keep hearing something walking around that doesnt sound like it has 4 legs, and the dog still keeps on barking. By now, im too awake to go back asleep and the dog is STILL barking and roaming around like she is crazy.

Still wondering how the TV got on.

My dog licks herself constantly at night it seems. I wake up and hear this slurping sound so I just tell her to knock it off. If she doesn't I whip a pillow at her, that always does the trick. You would think that a dog that licks herself so often would be clean but she usually smells like...well, dog. Filthy creatures. Give me a cat any day.

Our cat tends to be the one to wake everyone up. No matter how much we feed it during the day, at 4AM he will come meowing and wont stop until someone feed him. He usually did this to my parents though and hasnt really done it to me yet.

When we go out... we put the animal planet on for the cats. They love that station. Except for Animal Precinct That upsets them. :(

To the OP:
