Bad Deal: SVCompucycle cheating me out of $5

A few weeks ago I ordered a HSF and some fans from SVC and also a bunch of thumb screws and some Arctic Silver...stuff comes in the mail, rather late too, but there's no thumb screws or Arctic Silver. I email customer support, and ask them to refund my account because I didn't receive the items and already purchased them locally. Guy responds and says "We are sorry for this problem, we will ship the items out today" So I think, Ok fine, i'll just have double what I need. Well, that was 2 weeks ago and I haven't received anything. I emailed them again about this and this time I haven't received a response.

Just a heads up -- this was my first time dealing with SVC and I won't order from them again. Dunno if they're trying to pull something on me making it look like they "accidentally" left out a couple bucks of screws and thermal grease thinking it won't be worth my time to try and contact them about it. too bad that had to happen, but they are pretty good for the most part. I've had nothing but fast shipments and good customer service from them. Not the right place to "moan" by the way😉
 
I have also had generally good experiences with SVC...except my last order. It seems that they are getting careless with their orders. I ordered a Copper Vantec Iceberq set and they sent me the aluminum version instead. Little mistakes like that will drive you nuts, but if you just call they're customer service number then they will fix the problem (they credited my credit card with the difference...)
 
They shorted me a rounded cable in one of my 4 orders from them, I emailed and they sent the missing one without problem. I suspect they've had some bad hires in their shipping department.
 
I've ordered from SVC without problems. However it's been a while. Sounds like SVC is having growing pains.

I hope they have'nt gotten ahead of themselves, they usually have decent pricing. 🙂
 
I ordered a fan from them on Friday and it was shipped out USPS Priority on Saturday. Now whether or not I get the correct fan I ordered is another story. Ill report back 🙂

My last order from 3 weeks ago, they shipped an 18" rounded cable instead of the 24". I called them up and they sent the right cable + $2.00 to ship the wrong cable back to them. They always seem to mess up my orders but always make it right.
 
Any chance a senior member would be able to follow the rules/guidlines and post this in the correct places... I.e. 'Brag and Moan' and 'Reseller Ratings'.

Way too many people are creating threads that are reposts, brag & moan, illegal deals, referal deals, auctions, etc. that should be cleaned up faster...
 
SVC customer support is just bad. They make all these errors then they try to fix it... It cost me about 2 weeks to get a replacement, I lost $9 to ship the bad part back. When i e-mailed them to see what they would do about those $9...... suprisingly (sp) no one replies back.

chiggachu, couldn't that be used to sell an item that noone orders ? Such as sell you an item you wouldn't normaly get ?

well whatever, their "mistakes" cost me money.

First with this then with the Clear LED fans they sold... no biggy for the missinformation about them blinking, but i got 2 purple ones... would be cool, but they bearly spin. hahaha anything, i've lost shipping money with them so nothing from them is a "Hot Deal"

 
SVC always has good customer support. Just call them up and talk to a rep in person. They're a really good company. I order from them because of the low shipping cost and timely shipping practices. 😀

Just call instead of e-mailing them next time.
 
Hopefully this is just an isolated case. I've ordered from them 3 or 4 times and things went very well. I'd certainly recommend them. I hope it gets straightened out for you.
 
A few weeks ago SVC accidently delivered my order to another customer, I was emailed by the guy that got my order about the situation..

I gave SVcompucycle a call, the guy I spoke with said he'd have shipping dept send me a new order...

And the next day I got my order.. ( i live in cali)

I've ordered several times and they've always been great. Very good on the phone also. Wrong section to post though.
 
I would agree with the couple that said that SVC have some Fry employees.

But it is not always bad, just the other day, I ordered over 80bucks worth of heatsink and fans, couplings and floppy drive. And guess what they sent me a complimentary artic alumina. Not that I use it but it seem nice and I took it quietly. Note: I bought from SVC on 2 other ocassion, round cables and AS3 and I had not problems.

So try to stay calm, they may be having some problems now and then. Probably expanding or what not and have a bad hire.
 
I've had that happen before. They sent me a package with stuff that I didn't even buy! But I returned it cause I was good friends with them and they give me discounts. I buy from them all the time when I lived in the dorms in San Jose. They are nice people. Don't worry guys, when I work there, I will fix all the problems. I'm hearing yall out and I should forward them this bad PR.
 
My order was lost in the mail... called them up and they sent another one and threw in some Arctic Silver for my trouble.
