Guess I shouldn't have called off today, this must be my punishment for doing so.
First, my TV won't turn on. I've had this problem with it before but was always able to get it to work again. I hit the power button the power light comes on and the tv clicks on but the screen doesn't turn on. then it clicks off and the power light blinks at me.
called philips support and they say it needs serviced. they give me a local store. call them up, sorry, we don't do warranty work. fine, call philips back. give me 3 more stores. all these stores are in a 50 mile radius. 1st store doesn't do in home service on tvs under 37". the other 2 won't drive that far. call up philips again because they said if the stores tell me they won't go that distance to call back and they'll take care of it. they say they will escalate the issue and call me back in 2-3 days.
since my tv wasn't working i watched a dvd on my pc. i must have forgot to close the tray when i was done because when i got back from doing something i sat down and slid the chair back and heard a loud CRACK! i turn around and there is the dvd drive tray bent at an angle and making a horrible noise.
so i had to order a new DVD burner too.
