Bad day at work today

I've got a bad sinus infection and the medication is messing up my stomach. I would've stayed home, but it was an important meeting.

Things were going okay until the bad coffee started coming back up - no time to take care of it discreetly.

Well, there's one client we don't have any more.

We would've lost them anyway if I didn't show up for the meeting - at least this way they get an interesting story.

I take full responsibility. It was, in hindsight, a stupid thing to do. Habit - coffee at meeting.

It was a long-term freelance, the job wasn't going well at all, and this meeting was a last-ditch effort to save the relationship. The bosses threw it on me and chickened out themselves.

I don't know if these bosses will ever hire me again. Though they are pretty happy to have someone else to blame for this gig falling apart.

And, sorry, no pix. I only got a quick glimpse of the clients - yup, expensive suits - and I would love to see the whole thing.
