How so? The thread smells of BS. I just wanted to make sure. If the guy really did do these things he is an ass. It is obvious she WASN'T trying to run an escort service. The guy is a prick. No doubt about that. No, I don't have a grudge against Dezign at all.

Why not? The FIRST thing I thought after reading the first post was "someone should let this kids prof know how he's conducting his 'research'". I'm a ChemE, so most of my research involves inanimate objects, but I do realize you don't trick people into being a research subject for you.

He's a tool. Sounds to me like his date cancelled out on him and he is trying to weazel out of the tickets

I e-mailed David a researcher's code of ethics (highlighting a part that stresses how it is unethical to misrepresent yourself when conducting research) and e-mailed two addys... here's the receipt I received from one, and hopefully will be rerouted to a place more appropriate for it if it isn't the right one:

9. THEN HE DROPS "THE BOMB" ON ME... he's a student doing his thesis on "Morals on the Internet Superhighway" or something to that effect, implies he's going to use his correspondance with me as an example of one with few, and writes me the following e-mail:

I think what he did was creative, but at the same time, I hope all his "research" isn't based on assumptions. IMO his thinking's a little off...

So would anyone setting up their friend on a blind date be considered an "escort service"?

Its Hollywood! Whaddaya expect? I work in Hollywood in the Entertainment industry and there are a whole lot of weird sh|t that goes on around here.
