Does anyone know if FIC or Abit are going under? The way they handle their customer service and RMAs, I can't believe they give a care if anyone ever buys anything from them again.
I sent a defective Abit motherboard (CPU powersupply failed) for replacement and they told me it would be replaced in a week, but it took 2 emails to get them to pry it loose and actually send it a month later.
FIC was even worse - I tried to get some response by filling out those web based forms and waiting for any response twice and they never responded - I finally called the pay for number and they emailed a form which had to be filled out and then FAXed back, and then issued an RMA days later. They required an up front payment for return shipping and they cashed that check a month ago, but they can't tell me after wainting on with the phone dropped on the desk for 15 minutes if they shipped it back or what the tracking number is after 6 weeks. They promised last week that they would email the tracking number but they didn't even answer the phone this afternoon, and still no response.
