Bad connection maybe

Im running on xp pro with a netgear 108 mbps wireless connection and when i look int he netgear driver/program to run it, it says its at 1% preformance (transmit/recieve). Does anyone know how to fix this?

what were you doing when you checked the network utilization? and 1% of what? I doubt you will ever get it to 100% but try to transfer a file and check utizilation then, if you weren't before. Typical internet usage even at 10mbps down if you're getting all of it which rarely happens that would only be about 9%.

well the program that came with the network car said that the 1% was transmit/recieve preformance. Right now im transfering some stuff to another pc and im between 6 and 8%. Is that normal?

I wouldn't go by what the program it came with says. If it works, and it seems fast its fine. I have never seen a transmit/receive performance meter on software. But then again i never use the network card software. i just install the driver and handle it with the windows software.
