Apparently, my HD has bad clusters.. It's only a year old, and i was running Windows 2000, and everytime I try booting it up, it gave me tons of errors, especially not having NTSOFKRNL.EXE or something like that.. I took the hard drive, scandisked it, and nothing was fixed... I even put the HD in another ocmputer, and tried to use Partition Magic but that didn't do anything..

Could anyone please tell me how to fix this problem? i don't want to throw away a perfectly good 20gb HD.... I dont even care if i lose 300 megs of the 2gb, I just want to salvage something.

Most harddrive companies have utilities to permanently "block off"
bad sectors. My Western Digital HD can do this.
Goto your harddrive manufacturer's web site and look for this utility.

RMA the drive if it's only 1 year old. Most hard drives have warranties.
