Continuing with my struggles to get a Duron 600 w/ 128 pc-133 to run better than my k6-2 300 I attempted to flash the bios using gigabytes @bios, web bios updater. Its a Duron 600 on a Gigabyte 7-zm MB and I tried to update the bios via the web, but it would stall at 505 and stop responding. I thought I would try later, but father turned the computer off and not it won't boot. I took the battery out overnight hoping it would reset the bios, but it didn't! What do I do? How do I get it to start again?

If the BIOS flash really did fail (screwed up the code), all you can do is either get a replacement ROM chip or get hold of a chip programmer.

Instead of flashing your BIOS.... you flushed your BIOS.

Well that sucks, I was using gigabytes on-line @bios and it just stopped responding halfway through. Guess I'll have to get Gygabyte to send me a new board.
