What would happen if my agp slot was bad. Could my graphics card still function normally at times? My computer hangs when i play cs and i get a black screen for a min and my computer reboots. Could this be a bad agp sloT?

Go to Control Panel > Performance & Maintenance > Event Viewer and see if there are some events that match up to the times of the shutdowns. It could conceivably be caused by, uh, enemy action (worm attack) :Q Do you have:
 1. firewall protection
 2. all your Windows patches and stuff
 3. up-to-date, properly-configured antivirus software running
 4. strong passwords on all your computer's Administrator-level accounts
?

If you post your complete hardware specs, including the brand and model of your power supply and RAM, that will help people get insight too.

Not your PSU, though. Also, what exact Corsair PC3200 you got there? XL, C2, ValueSelect? And is there anything in Event Viewer that sheds light on the shutdowns? You might as well answer the other questions too, that's how this Forum troubleshooting thing works ;)

nothing in event viewer relates to this... i think.
also the model number for my ram(i only have 1 stick now) is CMX512-3200C2PRO.
I get timings of 3-3-3-8.

That memory is spec'ed for 2.75 volts if I recall correctly. If you've got your memory voltage set to AUTO, it's probably getting only 2.5 volts or maybe 2.6. Crank it up where it's supposed to be, and see if that helps :)

And I still don't know what PSU you have. :p Good, bad? A tangerine with a nickel and a penny stuck in it and some alligator clips? ;)

Is ther a way to monitor voltage like a program?
I'm only asking because i upped my core voltage to 1.7V and whn i use cpu-z , it reads it as under 1.5V.
I think when i change the voltage it doesn't even change from my bios!
This could be a really big problem.
I got a soyo CK8 DRAGON PLUS...

Are you even reading what I type?

Ok, I guess you are, sort of ;) It'll have a label on it that says who made it and how much wattage it has, etc etc. A readable photo of it would be nice, you can post 'em at http://pics.bbzzdd.com, very handy resource there. If it came with a case, it's probably not exactly great stuff, so brace for a recommendation to buy an aftermarket Enermax, Fortron or Antec ;)

You changed the CPU voltage. I'm talking about your Corsair memory. Let Mr. CPU run at his normal voltage :)
