bacon poll: crispy or tender?

i myself like it tender, if its crispy it shrinks. and if you like crispy might as well just buy bacon bits.
 
I hate crispy, it takes away from the flavor of the meat - replaces it with the carbon sort of flavor. :|

plus, tender is so much more fun to chew. 😀
 
I will take sausage over bacon any day.


Unless the bacon is in a Double Cheesburger, then crispy!

That's the trick.
There's a certain point where it's crispy but hasn't yet taken on that burnt taste.

 
I like it tender with slightly crispy edges. I prefer to drain or towel dry the grease from the bacon. It's very bad for you but tastes oh so good....

I prefer them to be just prior to the Burnt state. Crispier the better. Even fun to cook them on the grill. They cook in about 2 minutes.... works great for making bacon cheeseburers or chicken with swiss chees and bacon.
