backup software for Win 8.1?

About to upgrade to 8.1 and need to make a decision on backup software.

I have been using Norton Ghost 15 on Win 7 and it does most of what I'd like it to, but it's discontinued and the reviews on it's replacement are not so hot for win 8. I was previously on Acronis and had nothing but trouble, so curious what folks are using.

what I'd like:

-full, reliable, partition images with incremental/differential backups
-solid encryption
-short term (nightly) differential backups of important libraries to Google drive/dropbox/etc

I like Macirum for imaging my C drive. It can backup in like 6 to 8 minutes.

on my Samsung 840 1 TB Evo, the whole backup of C: takes about 1 minute and 10 seconds!!!

Thanks G73S and others! Is there an alternate to download.com to get the installer file? I want to try the free version now that Paragon B & R 2013 has failed me again.

Stay away from EaseUS (Backup or Partition Manager) Free
-it will install some nasty spyware no matter what you select during installation

I use REDO as a secondary backup method for redundancy. BUT many are reporting issues with it (Win 8 and other OS's) at sourceforge.net since it appears development has stopped back in 2012. (it is based on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS)

I prefer Cobian Backup. I've used it with Windows 7, then 8.1. It's free and legal without fuss and have quite tweakable settings to keep most users happy.

1. and 2. have incremental and/or differential backups in the free versions. But one poster said that Easeus has adware. That wasn't the case when I used it some time back.

With CrashPlan you can back up to a folder or another local PC. Cloud backups are optional.
