Backup Network Configurations

Alrighty, I want to do a clean install from Win 95 to Win ME. I know how to back up documents, etc. But my dad got it setup so he can access the network at his work. How do I go about backing up all the configurations for this? I do not know what to back up and what to not back up. Is there a program for this? Or a website that could help me? I would greatly appreciate it.

I think all you need to do is copy down is Network Neighborhood settings and his dial-up settings for using VPN. You may also need to install VPN in WinME, too. I can't say for sure, I haven't used WinME yet.

I'm not speaking from experience, just an educated guess.

Depending on what type of VPN client software he uses, you may not want to format just yet. If he uses PPTP that is more or less standard with Windows products, that might be ok, but if he uses a third-party software that connects him to his work server such as Indus River, then it may use IPSEC or some other non windows native protocol. Make sure you know before you wipe it clean...
