Backup ipod touch?

Pghpooh

Senior member
Long story…… And some hand holding needed.
Grand daughter dropped ipod touch and broke the screen.
When her mom bought the ipod touch she bought the extended warranty. Extended warranty people said to return unit for a replacement.
Mom transferred all apps, etc into from the touch to itunes ver. 10. Moms laptop is old and wheezes. LOLOL
I suggested that a backup copy of itunes be made to a cd.
If a backup of itunes is made, will the aps that were transferred from the touch to itunes also be copied???
Thanks

You don't need to back up iTunes. The apps are part of the iTunes account not stored locally on the computer.

Thanks!
I forgot to mention that my daughter has a lot of music she has download and or bought.
Looks like I will show her how to back up the itunes library to a dc, etc.
If I remember right it goes like this.
Click "file"
Click "Library"
Click "Back up to disk"

Or, if backing up to another hard drive,, instead of clicking backup to disk, click on export library and then choose the drive, etc you want to use.

Hope I got this right! LOL
Thanks
