Backup Exec help with Open File Option problems

I have a backup server with Backup Exec 7.3. I am trying to back up my open database file on my file server. When I try to install/configure the Open File Option, it asks me for an administrator name and password. I give this but it says it cannot connect to the server. I am a domain administrator and have access to the file server, and all servers. I tried my domain login, and a local administrator login. This Backup Exec program had been configured once before by someone else, and I just had to reformat and reconfigure the file server drives. Any ideas on how to get this OFO to work are appreciated.
