I was wondering if there is a way to build a BDC without being connected to the domain that the bdc will be on... is there a way to put the information on a disk or cd and from the domain and then transfer it over to the bdc... or do you HAVE to be connected to the domain server
 
To my knowledge, BGC requires the SAM from PDC so unless it gets it, you can't create a BDC but there is probably a way to import the SAM once you boot to your new environment... maybe, there was that discussion, not sure what the answer was..
