<< Actually, I am just loathe to see the brainless masses adoring their mediocre music, when there are true musicians out there that are much better in quality, but will never be known to people at large because they do not cater to the lowest common denominator. >>

Why don't you cry about it? I guess I must say this again, but there is no such thing as "good" music, 'one persons trash is anothers treasure'. Get it?

Right....well, if AJ had like murdered your family and tried to kill you, then maybe it would be ok for you to wish him to die. But that's a bit of a strech there buddy.

<< I find it hard to believe that you've never said ANYTHING negative about ANYONE. >>

I've said many negative things to people. It comes out in anger and frustration.

I would not make fun of anyone that lost a relative and couldnt find a way to deal with the loss. Everyone handles death differently.

When I was 16 (3 years ago), we were celebrating my grandfathers 80th birthday. I was talking to him, and I saw him pass out and fall lifeless to the floor not 2 feet from me. I stood in shock and horror, but I couldnt move, or scream or say anything.

After he was taken to the hospital, I ran home with nothing but rage, and basically kicked down and destroyed my grage door, and any chairs, etc around me. I then ran to a friends house.

5 days later when I came home, I got a call from my grandma that they were able to bring him back the same night and he was doing much better.

There is no bad music? Are there also no winners and losers? Everyone is equal in every way, despite obviously superior traits displayed by some? Is that your mantra?

You really are an idiot, aren't you? I didn't say there is no such thing as unsuccesful music, I said there is no such thing as "good" music, all music is good to some and bad to others. Are you that stupid that you can't figure that out?

Why should the music industry NOT cater to the masses?!? That's how you make MONEY. It IS a business. Did you forget that? Did you forget that not EVERYONE wants to listen to the same music you do? Most of this country could care less about the musicians themselves. They want a good song that makes them feel good. If you don't like it, LEAVE. We could sure use the parking space. I hate it when people don't realize that the entertainment industry is there to make money and to not to always put out the best product.

Hardly. By saying that there is no such thing as "good" music, why should the qualification not be drawn that there is also no "bad" music? Why do you feel the need to litter personal insults within your statements? Is it to draw attention away from your weak arguments?

How are my arguments weak? You are either not seeing my point or you are a complete idiot. There is no such thing as "good" or "bad" music IN GENERAL because everything is good to some people and bad to others, is that REALLY so hard to understand? Oh and fix your quote, it doesn't help your cause.

Saying something TO someone and making a light crack about someone who'll never read this, never know what was said and probably doesn't care is another. While Shotgun did go too far and had NO thought in what he was saying, I feel that some of the other stuff said was pretty funny. Everyone pokes fun at everyone. If you are a celeberty, then you should expect it or get a day job.

What about the fact that quality, but overall less-successful musicians enjoy a longer tenure within the business than thrown-together groups like the BackStreet Boys. No one in their right mind would make a wager that they will be around in their current incarnation ten years from now. Remember New Kids On The Block? They will burn out and be forgotten just like then.

Right, cause no one should ever do something for the money. Heck, why not just give up capitalism while we're at it?

Man pop is so gay, it's not about the music it's about the entertainment and getting little girls and deeko to buy their line of clothing. Pop isn't music, it's subliminal messages put to a tune being sung by "hot" people to get them rich. The entertainment industry is slowly becoming the music industry.

If you read my post carefully, I said that's what the record industries were doing. THEY are in it to make money. They have money at stake when they have to spend hundreds of dollars an hour so that these guys can make a record. THEY have to make their money back. Why would they put someone out on the market that isn't going to make a lot of money? Is that how YOU would run a business? By putting money into a product and then putting it out where no one wanted it?

How do you know I had no thought in what I was saying?

Anyone who did not detect that my statement was not one hundred per cent serious to begin with needs to get their bullsh1t meter checked.

I didn't think your statement was serious, I thought it was not funny and without tact.

You obviously remember the New Kids since you mentioned them. You also don't realize that BSB has been around for 8 years now, which may not be that much in the long run, but its way longer than most pop artists go.

exactly, when the band is put together by a label, it isnt really a band, it is more off a money making scheme.

deeko im not saying you should never do anything for money, but when your in the music for money, it doesnt have the same feeling.

No one doubts that it's a money making scheme! Label made bands usually don't last very long. It's just a quick buck. What I don't understand is why you can't just ignore them and listen to the stuff YOU want to listen to. I know I do.

IMHO, the band should get the label, not the label make a band (ie:backstreet boys)
