Backing up Win 98 registry

How do I back up my Win98 system registry and how do I restore it.

start/programs/assec/sys tools/system information/tools/reg checker

to restore go to command prompt and type-regedit /restore

Yes but windows backs up the registry on a regular basis which means that the backed up version is most likely corrupt also. I want to keep a copy somewhere windows can't mess with it.

regedit /restore allows you to choose a date from which to restore from!

START > RUN > REGEDIT then highlight MY COMPUTER and click REGISTRY > EXPORT, name & save it...
