Backing up Win 98 registry

start/programs/assec/sys tools/system information/tools/reg checker

to restore go to command prompt and type-regedit /restore
 
Yes but windows backs up the registry on a regular basis which means that the backed up version is most likely corrupt also. I want to keep a copy somewhere windows can't mess with it.
